This is a one day first aid course, also known as EFAW+F.
The EFAW+F course from Lantra has been developed to comply with the Forestry Commission +F as per the First Aid at Work – Forestry Commission Policy and in consultation with Forestry Industry Safety Accord (FISA). It is also a great option for people who spend a lot of their working time outdoors, including landscapers, farmers and highway workers.
The course covers the same material as the Emergency First Aid at Work course, (CPR and use of a defibrillator, causes of unconsciousness and recovery position, choking, bleeding, shock and managing minor injuries) as well as risks more common to forestry workers, including dealing with catastrophic bleeding, crush injuries, heat stroke and hypothermia.
The cost is £130 + VAT per person, which includes lunch & drinks, workbook, Lantra registration & certificate, use of practice equipment.
All of our First Aid courses are accredited by Lantra. We typically offer Training (with Assessment), but if you prefer the Qualification option, please let us know at the time of booking.
