Health and Safety in the Workplace
This is a one day course, registered with Highfield. It is aimed at individuals who are required to have a basic knowledge of health and safety practices that are essential for the workplace.
The course covers the duties and responsibilities of employees and employers, the process of risk assessment and common hazards and controls in the workplace, emergency procedures and the importance of accident reporting.
Level 3 Award
Health and Safety in the Workplace
This is a three day course, registered with Highfield, that is aimed at people who supervise or manage others.
The course covers the requirements of health, safety and welfare regulations, the benefits of a health and safety management system, the risks and control methods for common workplace hazards and the principles of risk assessment and accident investigation.


Level 2 Award
Risk Assessment
This is a one day course, registered with Highfield. The course covers why risk assessments are necessary for maintaining and improving standards of health and safety at work and understanding the principles of risk assessment.
Level 3 Award
Risk Assessment
This is a two day course, registered with Highfield. This course is aimed at those with responsibility for risk assessing in low-risk premises. The course covers the importance of health and safety, and risk assessment; the principles of risk assessment and the relationship between hazard sporting and the hierarchy of control.

This is a one day course, registered with BALI. It is a precursor to obtaining a LISS / CSCS card.
The course covers the basics of health and safety and environmental legislation, risk assessment and common control measures for both safety and environmental hazards
Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness – Fencing
This is a one day course, registered with Lantra. It is a precursor to the FISS / CSCS card.
The course covers health and safety law, hazard identification and risk control, reporting of accidents, ill health and near misses, welfare, including signage, and first aid requirements. The course also focuses on typical hazards, including fire, electricity, manual handling, work equipment and work environments.

Health & Safety in Agriculture & Horticulture
This is a one day course registered with Lantra, resulting in a certificate of attendance.
The course covers the principles of health and safety law, hazard identification and common control measures (with particular focus on work at height, working near overhead power lines, working around mobile plant and vehicles, chainsaws, manual handling, fire and electricity). The course also covers appropriate reporting of accidents and near misses, safety signage and the impacts that children and the public may have on safety on site.
Manual handling
This is a half day course, registered with Lantra.
The course covers the legal background for manual handling, common accidents and injuries, principles for safe manual handling, including when lifting, push and pulling loads, and manual handling risk assessments.

This is a online e-learning course from Lantra, which takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete.
This course is designed to help employees and contractors working on farms and agricultural premises to understand the risks and control measures required.
Agriculture Health & Safety: How to Meet Your Legal Responsibilities
This is a online e-learning course from Lantra, which takes approximately 6 hours to complete.
This course, developed with HSE assistance, will help you prepare for an inspection and help you identify and manage safety risks. If you control or manage a farm, you are legally responsible for your safety and that of your employees, contractors, visitors, and anyone affected by your work. We will give straightforward advice on how to comply with safety law, and where to find guidance on good practice to work safely.
