Agricultural Vehicles

Introduction to Agricultural Vehicles is an online course, developed by Lantra, that is designed to introduce and familiarise employees and contractors with agricultural vehicles, implements and trailers.

It takes approximately 1-1.5 hours to complete, and a certificate is available to download.

Agricultural Vehicles on the Road is a four hour seminar from Mike Sumner, Author of Agricultural Vehicles on the Road. Mike will take you through some of the rules and regulations affecting your operations using agricultural vehicles on the road, including a question and answer session, and lunch.

Tractor Driving

We offer a variety of tractor driving courses, all accredited by Lantra. On all our tractor driving courses, you’ll have the opportunity to drive a selection of tractors of different models and sizes.

Learning to drive a tractor is like learning to drive a car – some people need more practice than others. Our most popular courses are listed below but we do offer 4 and 5 day courses. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.

Tractor Driving: A three day course for people who are confident drivers of other vehicles, and may have some experience of towing trailers.

Tractor Driving (with experience): A two day course for people with previous experience of driving a tractor but no certificate.

Tractor Refresher: A one day refresher course, for people who already hold a tractor driving certificate.

Junior Tractor Driving (13-15 years old): A two day course, for young people (aged 13-15 years) with an interest in tractor driving. The course covers the safe use of tractors and trailers, it does not cover the use of PTOs.

Lift Trucks

Fork Lift Truck Training (FLT): can be between 2 and 5 days, depending on the experience of the driver. The course is Integrated Training and Assessment (ITA) from Lantra. The course covers safety and the law, maintenance and pre-start checks as well as starting, stopping and basic manoeuvring of the vehicle with and without a load.

For Lift Truck Training (FLT) refresher: a one day course, accredited by Lantra, for users who already hold a FLT certificate.

Telehandlers: A three day course, accredited by Lantra, for novice drivers. The course covers safety and the law, maintenance and pre-start checks as well as starting, stopping and basic manoeuvring of the vehicle with pallet and bulk loads. Users will also work on rough terrain.

Telehandlers (with experience): A two day course for drivers with some experience. Lantra ITA
