Introduction to Winching in a Land-based Setting is a one day Integrated Training and Assessment (ITA) course, registered with Lantra.
The course covers health and safety related to use of a winch; winch types; cables, ropes and accessories; inspection & maintenance of equipment; basic winching systems; mechanical advantage; controlling the operation and safely concluding the task. By the end of the course you will demonstrate different winching operations: straight line; offset and double-line pulls applicable to the type of winch being used.
