Course:

This is a two day training, with an additional assessment day, registered with Lantra Awards.

Training is held in woodlands in the Northwest.

The course covers health and safety rules, before moving on to practical skills including; felling trees (up to 200mm diameter); taking down hung-up trees; de-limbing felled trees and cross cutting and stacking timber.

The course costs £400 + VAT. Bookings for this course include:

  • Workbook & pen
  • Loan of PPE if required
  • Filing kit to take home

You will also need a chainsaw for this course which is around a 50cc engine with a 15” bar and semi chisel chain.   Equipment hire is available, for more details click here.

Candidates must already hold an accepted Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross Cutting certificate, and will be asked for proof on booking. If you are yet to complete your maintenance and cross cutting qualification, you might consider our chainsaw maintenance, cross-cutting and felling up to 200mm courses.
