Course:
Chainsaw maintenance & crosscutting and felling small trees up to 380mm diameter (CS31)
This is a three day training, with an additional assessment day, registered with NPTC City & Guilds. It is a level 2 certificate of competence, previously known as CS31. Training is held in woodlands in the Northwest.
The course covers health and safety rules, before moving on to practical skills including; felling trees (up to 380mm diameter); taking down hung-up trees; de-limbing felled trees and cross cutting and stacking timber.
The course costs £460 + VAT plus NPTC fees of £175. Bookings for this course include:
- Workbook & pen
- Loan of PPE if required
- Filing kit to take home
You will also need a chainsaw for this course which is around a 50cc engine with a 15” bar and semi chisel chain. Equipment hire is available, for more details click here.
Candidates must already hold a Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross Cutting (CS30) qualification, and will be asked for proof on booking. If you are yet to complete your maintenance and cross cutting qualification, you might consider our CS30/31 course.
